The first rule: know what you are carrying
Only accept small, identifiable items that you can inspect and whose contents you can verify. The traveler is responsible for checking the rules that apply at the origin, transit points, on the chosen transportation and at the destination.
Items that must not be posted
- Unknown contents, sealed packages you cannot inspect or illegal goods.
- Weapons, hazardous substances, money, animals or perishable food.
- Medicines and items requiring permits, licenses or special handling.
- Any item prohibited by the airline, transportation company or relevant authority.
International routes require an additional check
Allowances, taxes, declarations and restrictions vary by country and item type. Check official customs and carrier sources before committing. A post on EnTuVuelta does not replace that check.
Quick questions before accepting
- Can I fully identify and inspect the item?
- Do I know its value, weight, origin and recipient?
- Is it allowed on every leg of my route?
- Do I understand whether I must declare it or pay taxes?
- Is the agreement clear and recorded in writing?
If in doubt, do not carry it
No reward is worth taking a risk you do not understand. Ask for information, check official sources and decline the arrangement if you cannot verify the contents or whether they are permitted.
